Film synopsis

Get on the fast track with HIGH ROLLING, a rockin’ Aussie road movie about two larrikins who head to the Gold Coast in a hot Corvette, set to a sensational 70s Sherbet soundtrack.

Charismatic American Texas (Joseph Bottoms) and Aussie tough guy Alby (Grigor Taylor) are two carnival roustabouts looking for an easy thrill and a fun time. Hitchhiking to Surfer’s Paradise, they accept a ride from Arnold (John Clayton), but don’t take kindly to his unwelcome advances. Parting ways in a violent scrape, the boys steal Arnold’s car and wallet – hitting the open road for further high jinx. Collecting teenage hitchhiker Lynn (Judy Davis in her big screen debut) along the way, they soon discover the Corvette is filled with drugs. With the mob on their snaky trail there is only one way for these young folk to travel – fast!

A cheeky buddy movie with all the trappings of classic ‘Ozploitation’, produced by Tim Burstall (ALVIN PURPLE, PETERSEN), HIGH ROLLING also features Wendy Hughes, Gus Mercurio and Roger Ward.

BONUS FEATURE: Also includes Brian Trenchard-Smith’s 1975 ‘Ozploitation’ gem THE LOVE EPIDEMIC – a bawdy and eye-opening “expose of venereal disease, its causes and consequences in today’s permissive society”, exploring a sticky love triangle between a businessman, his wife and the mistress in the middle! Featuring Oz Rock legends Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs.
