Film synopsis

The life story of one of history’s most remarkable heroines is boldly brought to the screen in Victor Fleming’s Academy Award® winning production JOAN OF ARC – an epic tale of faith, bravery and the ultimate sacrifice.

Starring Ingrid Bergman (in an Academy Award®  nominated performance) as the 15th century French peasant girl driven by the divine power of God, who famously sets out to not only inspire her people but triumphantly lead an army against her British oppressors.

In the wake of her spectacular success, the newly crowned King of France (José Ferrer, in an Academy Award® nominated debut performance) soon becomes wary of her prominent rise, suspicious of her growing popularity amongst the people of France.

The corruption of power leads to the ultimate betrayal, forcing Joan into a fiery corner to ultimately face her toughest battle of all.
