Time to blow out the candles for two milestones in Australian cinema…

This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of BMX Bandits and to celebrate the event, Umbrella Entertainment will be releasing the Blu-ray edition for the first time in Australia. This ’80s Aussie classic launched Nicole Kidman to fame as one of three wheel-spinning teenagers who discover a box of stolen walkie-talkies left behind by a gang of bank robbers.  From acclaimed Ozploitation director Brian Trenchard-Smith (Turkey Shoot) with dynamic cinematography from Oscar® winner John Seale comes this fast-paced kids’ crime-caper, loaded with special features including audio commentary, featurettes, photo galleries, trailer and interview with Nicole Kidman on Young Talent Time.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary the movie Sirens, starring Hugh Grant, Tara Fitzgerald, Elle MacPherson, Portia De Rossi, Kate Fischer and Sam Neill will make its world premiere release on Blu-ray.  Nominated for three AFI Awards, Sirens is a sly, humorous and sexy look at 1930s Australia, where a forward-thinking minister is asked to investigate a blasphemous painting created by Norman Lindsay. This special edition features audio commentary with director John Duigan and producer Sue Milliken; an interview with Norman Lindsay; an informal home movie discussion between Hugh Grant and John Duigan; as well as a theatrical trailer, stills gallery, scripts and press clippings.
