Umbrella Entertainment is thrilled and honoured to announce that two of our upcoming titles have been selected to screen at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in January .

Having their World Premiere’s at Sundance are Aussie psychological drama The Babadook starring Essie Davis, and Jim Mickle’s tense Texas-style revenge thriller Cold In July, starring Michael C. Hall.

Cold In July tells the story of a small time frame builder from East Texas forced to kill a man in self defence. Teaming up with a bitter rival and ex-con, the two enemies unite to fight small town corruption and paranoia.Ultimately they uncover a bigger secret, darker, and more dangerous than they could have imagined.

The Babadook is psychological drama about a single mother plagued by the violent death of her husband. When a disturbing storybook turns up at the house, she is forced to battle with her son’s deep seated fear of a monster. She soon discovers a sinister presence all around her….
