The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia has announced that Patrick has been selected for its 2013 line-up. Held in Spain 11-20 October, Patrick is one of only five Australian films chosen to be screened. The remake of Richard Franklin’s 1970s thriller Patrick, directed by Mark Hartley and produced by Antony I Ginnane, who also worked on the original release, the film will have its European premiere in the Official Fant├ástic Galas section of the festival. Starring Charles Dance. Rachel Griffiths and Sharni Vinson, the feature film tells the story of a comatosed patient in a clinic, who learns to harness his pent-up power with deadly effect.

Sitges is the number one fantasy film festival in the world. Now in it’s 46th year, it annually attracts 110,000 visitors plus around 700 industry attendees.
